DocPath-Reg creates a partners network for its business expansion in Brazil

Friday, August 21, 2009 - With the objective of increasing revenues by 20% this year, DocPath-Reg, a Spanish software developer, has launched a new partners program to commercialize its document management solutions for SMEs in Brazil. The company, whose sales approximate 7 million euros and which employs 60 people, last March signed an agreement with InfoPrint, a joint venture between IBM and Ricoh, which provides solutions for document printing.

According to Julio Olivares, President and Founder of DocPath-Reg, “this new Partner Program aims to increase indirect sales of the company, based on a licensed or certified partnership.".

DocPath-Reg, which provides solutions for the banking and insurance sector, has a client portfolio in Brazil which includes companies such as Banco Itaú, Santander, Casas Bahia, Banco de Brasil, Spaipa Coca-Cola, Perdigão and Riachuelo. DocPath-Reg also provides services to HSBC in Mexico and Carrefour in Spain.

"Casas Bahia has standardized our solution for its management of credit agreements in its shops as well as for other types of printing services like label printing for its handling of merchandise", said Olivares.

The i-Tools and z-Tools solutions support generating and printing documents in different environments. Developed on IBM i-Series and z-Series respectively, they allow users to install the solution’s generation motor on a machine with any other less expensive platform, such as HP-UX, IBM AIX, Linux, .NET and Java.

"With these solutions, the entire document generation process can be performed on another machine, alleviating the workload on the host server, without losing control. Both I-Tools and z-Tools can be completely independent applications", said Olivares.

Software as a Service

The document management solutions, according to Olivares, are fully configurable, which may imply variations in costs on average from $100.000 to $300.000 dollars. However, we are thinking about offering a solution based on the SaaS (Software as a Service) model. In fact, one of our Spanish clients has already made this request.

Since 1992, the Spanish software company has been providing solutions that cover the entire document life cycle, from design and generation from variable data, to distribution, presentation, archiving, management and retrieval from a database. The company also provides tools for capture, identification and digitalization of paper documents.

DocPath-Reg has offices in the United States, Chile and Brazil, and representatives in over sixteen countries. The company purchased one of its own distributors in the United States, incorporating ten employees and a portfolio of two hundred customers.
