The Archiving and Retrieval application manages document storage and retrieval.
It is the perfect module for handling
Internet documents and situations requiring
quick and efficient response times.
Its advanced design allows it to interact and integrate well with the other state-of-the-art
modules of the
Solutions, providing feedback and playing its own role as part of the Solution in
providing logs, alerts, etc.
The Storage and Retrieval application is comprised of three distinct elements:
Archiver
The
Archiver integrates with the Controller, to provide the funtionality
of generation, indexing and storage of the documents in the data base.
Document Retrieving Manager
The
DocRetrieving Manager integrates with the Controller and/or a Web application
to retrieve documents from your database. It is
designed to support large service
loads and, therefore, very indicated for Web applications that demand efficient
response times for document storage and retrieval.
Archiving & Retrieval Administration
The
Archiving & Retrieving Administration Tool covers the entire storage
and retrieval process. It ensures safe and efficient management of the storage and
retrieval process, providing among other functions:
- A complete historical log of each document, covering all actions with the
documents, including identification of associated users.
- Eliminating documents marked for deletion and removal of deletion marks.
- Setting document expiration dates, avoiding retrieval of obsolete archived
documents.
- Setting the number of print copies as well as the maximum number of printings
for each of the stored documents.
