Total Control manages two major phases of documentation:
Archiving: The document generation system creates files, normally in PDF format, then Total Control indexes the files and saves them in a database.
Retrieval: A complete Web query system, totally integrable with a company's intranet/extranet architecture, allows users to display all the documents to which they have access.
From a console, users can perform any kind of document search and do any kind of work on documents to which they have access permission. Any document operation will be recorded in the database, providing detailed knowledge of whether the document was viewed, printed, when it was printed, etc.
Total Control allows you to set up different security parameters which determine the access and actions that can be performed on or with a document. For example, you can mandate that external collaborators can view documents but not save them or that they can open documents but not print them. It is also possible to schedule printing, which means that if a document has not been printed before an indicated date, it will still be printed on a pre-established printer. Additionally, this Document Print and Output Management software solution allows you to record and control all these processes.
