Extended Functions Forms Repository (henceforth
referred to as
XF). This module offers users the possibility of working with one or more databases
for using design objects stored therein and to eliminate loading incorrect objects
(regarding size, version or quality).
Form version control
XF facilitates managing form versions and guarantees that only designated users
have editing authority of the forms. Read-only forms are put into production and
in order to make any modifications, another instance or release of the form is required.
In no case can the forms be accessed simultaneously by multiple users, which avoids
the possibility of multiple users making modifications simultaneously.
Quick and easy repository access
Reposity contents are presented in a tree format which allows users to create their
own contents and categories quickly and easily.

Package distribution
Even in multiple equipment production environments,
XF is able to manage a forms version package distribution repository for production.
Design contents usage reports
It is possible to create lists with information of the objects that are being used,
and in which forms and versions the objects are being used. Additionally, lists
with information of the forms can be created, which indicate the form author, version,
the objects used in the form, etc.
Automatically update available versions
The
Controller can require using a form
version that has not been
put into production. From a repository, available versions can automatically be
updated, so that needed forms can be loaded that may not be available in a local
directory.
ADO database access
XF supports all the main database systems, since the module utilizes Microsoft
ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) technology for accessing databases. Microsoft ADO encompasses
communication object sets specifically for accessing data sources.
