Specific Document Process Needs of the Automobile Industry
Correct and seamless operation of the assembly plants and sales points of any automobile manufacturer greatly depends on the efficiency of their document processes. After all, as in any other sector, business documents and data need to be transferred quickly, efficiently and securely. The branch needed to cover each phase of the documentation process –from the invoice design to the actual distribution of the invoice–, for which they wanted a document software solution with the same reliability and capacities as their previous document system, but which could also offer software continuity, flexibility and additional options that allow the Document Output Management system to grow and evolve with the company. After an initial assessment phase, the company opted for DocPath‘s document software and, although its own ERP system offered the possibility of generating the corresponding output formats, the organization decided to also use DocPath software for this end.
Project Phases
The document software project, with very short implementation and go-live phases, was carried out by Ricoh Brasil, one of DocPath‘s main Partners in Latin America. The first phase consisted of an in-depth analysis of the specific requirements of the Brazilian branch, to ensure correct replacement of all the branch servers, with proper testing, during the second phase. Finally, the document software project went live at the beginning of 2016, without complications and with the expected, satisfactory, results.
