Evolving customer needs

Technology evolution creates new needs for users that become accustomed to features and products highly available in the market. On January 9, 2007, Steve Jobs announced the first iPhone. Nobody, besides him, could imagine the amazing market transformation that arrived by mixing a camera, a phone a computer and communications lines. Today, even our young children use that technology that expanded with new devices for music, reading, palm computers, etc.

The young children of 2007 are new out college and they are the new work force that demand the use of those technologies in the work environment. One of those technologies that had similar evolution process were the spreadsheets that we use quite often to process and understand information.

New solutions for new needs

DocPath ExcelDynamics arrived to provide the market with a powerful tool to create and produce highly complex and dynamic spreadsheets in minutes.

Upon request of one of its major customers, a world-wide operating Bank, DocPath initiated the development of a new document software that can easily integrate with the financial applications output data streams. The result is a document output software that allows seamless integration with existing applications, providing a new output type in the form of dynamic spreadsheets that can include multiple pages, complex tables, all sort of graphics, etc.

Financial reports provided to customers can now be presented as spreadsheets, populated by accessing the company’s current financial data, that can be used to make calculations based on projections or market evolution assumptions allowing the user to foresee possible alternatives for his/her investments.

Improving information delivery

Information that is provided today as printed documents to the organization internal users can now be expanded to dynamic spreadsheets, thus making it easier to use and also can facilitate the integration with other applications in the process. Financial or technical information that needs updating or modification through the process can be presented as spreadsheets which is a very well-known format for any user, eliminating or significantly reduce learning curves and possible errors.

Enhancing DocPath offering

As part of the DocPath commitment with its customers and future clients, ExcelDynamics comes to expand the offering of document software solutions, as it goes beyond the current Output Management offering, by fully integrating with it. Based on the well proved Ipanema Technology that enhances the user interface and with a Java based production engine, DocPath ExcelDynamics becomes just another member of the DocPath family of document software products. By the sharing the same technology as the current DocPath products streams it makes the maintenance and future enhancements of the product easier, because it can share resources and developments with other family members.
